Fusion Monitoring
Real-time ultrasonic condition monitoring for fusion pipework using radiation- and heat-tolerant EMAT sensors integrated with predictive digital twins.
Fusion powerplants demand uninterrupted monitoring in extreme environments where traditional sensors fail. Our solution uses electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs) built to withstand heat and radiation, combined with real-time signal acquisition and AI-powered analysis.
This system has been validated in collaboration with UKAEA and is suitable for deployment on complex pipe geometries. It links live sensor data with digital twin models to detect, localise, and characterise evolving defects over time.
