Daniel Beech
Research Scientist - Software Engineering
I studied Physical Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, with a focus on physics. I studied a wide range of modules outside of those which were considered core though, ranging from chemistry and computer science, through to biophysics and nuclear power engineering. I find astronomy and particle physics especially interesting, and for my Master’s thesis, I worked in the High Energy Physics department studying the feasibility of long-lived lepton detection in the proposed Future Circular Collider.
At Full Matrix, I am primarily working on the software’s user interfaces, while also occasionally dabbling elsewhere in our various avenues of research and experimentation. It is always interesting to discuss how others are getting on and how different methodologies and approaches affect results.
Out of office
In my free time, I enjoy sport and games, or can often be found just relaxing and watching a good series.
